On october 26 ,CID Police have arrested and recovered the MARAGATHA LINGAM idol from two persons.

This Lingam belongs to thiruthuraipoondi Marunteeswarar temple which near nagapattinam tamilnadu india.

The two persons are ramesh (30 and senthil (29) . They were arrested at the chennai bus stand at koyambedu.

They have concealed these lingsms in empty lpg cylnders.

This kind of lingams are there in seven places. They were installed by the kings of chola.

The other places are : vedaranyam, thirukuvali, thurkaravasal, tiruvarur, thrunallar and thiruvayumur.

By the way, some of the lingams already stolen are : . The lingam at neelayanthtchi templat at nagapattinam and from tiruvarur. They were not traced yet.
